As a women’s psychotherapist and an Irish woman, I work with the celtic wheel of the year as a practice of self-care, grounding and presence. Each new season on the wheel marks a moment for reflection, journalling and intention-setting. Bealtaine (pronounced BYOWL-ten-Ah) starts on May 1st, and brings us up to the Summer Solstice. It’s a perfect time for manifestation and abundance.
However, at any time of the year we can be in our own personal summer, or winter, irrespective of the calender. Personal periods of fruition and harvest, times of sorrow and grief, do not strictly adhere to the calender. You can use this worksheet whenever you are in a space of “go” energy, be it ovulation, exciting life changes, or whatever feels like an abundant or creative time for you.
Bealtaine is a sensual time bubbling with life force. Here are some journal prompts to help you get focused and set intentions for the months ahead!
How can I tap into my sensuality right now?
What makes me feel juicy and fully of life?
How can I connect with sensuality?
Where in my life does this feel blocked?
In what ways am I ready to blossom?
How can I step into this?
What desires are alive in me right now?
What am I longing for?
How do I find pleasure in the everyday?
How might I celebrate and enjoy the lush abundance and fertility of the season ahead?
If one of your intentions in this season of your life is related to dating, I have an in-depth workbook available, for women dating men, via the link below. You can also find it in the website menu under Downloadable Workbooks. There, you will also find other workbooks such as creating a science-based morning routine that helps nervous system regulation and sets you up for a peaceful day. I hope you find them helpful!
